The Georgetown Independent School District is headed by Superintendent Joe Dan Lee. A seven-member board of trustees, led by President Scott Alarcon, is elected to lead the district and meets the third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. The district has seven exemplary campuses, five recognized and two acceptable with an overall rating of academically acceptable.
